On March 2, 2021 the Department of Kazakh Linguistics hosted the event devoted to the memory of the distinguished scholar in the field of Kazakh Language, Maken Kassymbayevna Mamayeva. The event was called: “Unique people will always stay in our hearts and memory”.

Maken Kassymbayevna had been working for a long time at the Department of Kazakh Linguistics. She was a brilliant teacher and linguist, a high-competent expert in the field of syntax. The participants of the event shared their memories about Maken Kassymbayevna. The teachers and professors of the Department of Kazakh Linguistics told about her research and teaching activities, achievements and merits known by the scientific community and the university. Maken Kassymbayevna is a scholar who devoted all her life to syntax research. Her scientific ideas and contributions, especially in the filed of syntax, the textbook for the 9^th grade (Kazakh Language), the teaching methods are of a great practical and scientific value for the school teachers of Kazakh Language.

Maken Kassymbayevna was able to find a key to the heart of her each students. According to her students she was a just, understanding, honest person who could always showed a compassion in difficult time, in spite of being demanding.

The family members, colleagues, students and friends attended the event which was held on ZOOM platform.
