Department of pedagogy and educational management 30 October 2017 in the framework of the project "Al-Farabi University - smart city" holds the upbringing-educational event "In the world of cognitive processes" to 1 undergraduate courses of the specialty "Pedagogy and psychology" and "Social pedagogy and self-cognition".

The purpose of the event: the development of creative, visual-figurative thinking, ability to work in a group and a team, empathy and self-awareness. For each cognitive process was invented competition. After the competition, students tried to define these processes. Was held an entertaining mini-contests and tasks:

- to think and to present how you can use random objects;

- memorize the location of objects within 15 seconds and after permutation to return to the original position;

- using tactile sensations, to determine which object is in black box;

- on a white sheet of paper painted shapes, using your imagination to Supplement the elements, and to draw a picture;

- given the characteristics of the object: taste, color, smell, shape and so on; characteristics to determine what the object is.

After each competition was proposed more in detail about each cognitive process. The winners were given prizes, and the event was summed up. During the event, it was proved that smart University demanded only the smartest students.
