Within the framework of the International School "Carbon-mineral nanostructured composites from plant and mineral raw materials for the production of elastomers", 07.11 - 12.11.2022, by the Department of Analytical, Colloid Chemistry and Technology of Rare Elements of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology together with the Center for Physical and Chemical Methods of Research and Analysis, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, organized and conducted a refresher course for foreign students. Participants (offline, online format) were lecturers, staff and graduate students of the Belarusian State Technological University, as well as lecturers, PhD students, undergraduates and bachelors of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology.

Speaking to the participants of the International School, the Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of Al-Farabi KazNU Associate Professor Alina Galeeva noted that the integrated use of natural resources and the creation of waste-free technologies is an urgent task of modern industries and expressed confidence that such an exchange of experience and opinions will help increase the level of competence and qualification of participants in accordance with professional requirements and current achievements science, engineering and technology.

The International School was held within the framework of achieving the goal "Industrialization. Innovations, Infrastructure".

Head of the Department of Analytical, Colloid Chemistry and Technology of Rare Elements, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor Akmaral Argimbayeva introduced the participants from the Belarusian State Technological University and expressed gratitude for their participation.

Presentations were made by Doctor of Chemistry, Professor Sergey Yefremov, Ph.D., Associate Professor Sergey Nechipurenko (al-Farabi KazNU), Ph.D., Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Polymer Composite Materials of the Belarusian State Technological University Andrey Kasperovich, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Metallurgy and Mining of the Rudny Industrial Institute Sergey Lezhnev, PhD, Director of the Investment Industrial Company Tenir LLP Andrey Antipov, and also PhD student Beknazarov K. (al-Farabi KazNU).

The practical part of the course included the departure of participants to the research and production base. Implementation of work on the commercialization project of the World Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the topic "Production of carbon-silicon fillers for rubber goods".
