October 13, 2017, there was an educational lesson devoted to the International Language Day within the framework of the program "Brighten the corner where you are!" The topic of the event was "The language is the soul of people". The event has gone through the motion "With languages, you are at home anywhere". The organizers of the educational lesson, the English language teachers Karashina G.T., Orazaeva G.A., Mussanova G.A., and Dyhanova A.Sh., gathered first-year students of the Law Faculty in the sunny afternoon after their classes in room 409, where in a warm and friendly atmosphere they celebrated the Day of Languages. The students decorated the room with balloons, their own posters dedicated to the holiday, and great writers' quotes about the language. The presenter, the first year student of the Law faculty, Tolegen Aiyazhan, in English language introduced to the audience the Law "On languages in the Republic of Kazakhstan", different languages spoken in our country, the role of Assembly of Nations in preserving languages, and what different Kazakh and Russian writers and poets said about the language. The participants of the event demonstrated their attitude to the language through their skills. Thus, students of the 1^st course Satbayev Abylai and Aliev Aknazar read their favourite poems by M. Zhumabaev and S. Essenin. One of the participants has read her own poem in English while another student translated it into Kazakh language. Another member of the event performed Kazakh folk play "Kuy" on the dombra At the end of the event, assistant professors Karashina G.T. and Orazaeva G.A. delivered a speech on the importance of a language in life in English and Kazakh. The educational lesson ended with the popular song of the band Morandi – “Angels”, the meaning of which is the call for peace through love to others. The song was sung by all the participants, guests and teachers.
