On December 5, 2015 teachers of Foreign Languages Department ​Asel ​Shayakhmet, Aigul Kalieva, and Dinara Hudaiberdina held the educational and cultural event «Thanksgiving Day and modern society» under the program "Айналаңды нұрландыр!" Students had the opportunity to practice their speaking skills in English (through presentations, mini-scenes, discussions), to show their drawings (posters), as well their artistic (by means of poems, mini-plays), cooking (Thanksgiving Day meals), and musical (songs) talents; besides, students had to cooperate for successful performance of their teams. All participants emphasized how it is important in modern world to express your gratitude to your native land, just to each other and people in our society and the community.
