At the Grand opening of the event, students Ziko Nana and Kukuto Tamakhito held an open curatorial hour called "The land of the rising sun". During their bright presentation, Japanese students introduced the audience to the national characteristics of the Japanese, the Japanese economy, cultural and national traditions. Students performed in national costumes, which helped to create a unique atmosphere. The presented information aroused a keen interest of the audience: the number of students from Japan at the Department is small, and therefore this event was unusual for many. This was evidenced by the numerous questions that were asked to the speakers. The latter gave answers with great enthusiasm and undisguised pleasure. This is understandable: being far from home, students from Japan wanted to present their country as best as possible and tell about the peculiarities of the character and behavior of the Japanese.

In addition to the open curatorial hour, the program of the Days of Japan at the faculty included watching a Japanese film, a round table on the theme "Musical culture of Japan", as well as a photo exhibition, which presented photos showing the most beautiful, significant and interesting places of the country.

On the initiative of the "International Friendship Club" foreign students of the Department visited the National State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan on November 3, 2018. It was on this day that the "Day of Japanese culture" was held there. Japanese students of Department of Language and general education of foreigners Zico Nana and Kukuto Takakhito were the initiators of the festival and active participants in the "Day of Japanese culture". They introduced the guests to the national cuisine of Japan. Students prepared a variety of national dishes and treated everyone. The demonstration of the tea ceremony, which was also held by these students, aroused great interest of the guests. In addition, the festival presented some of the most vivid and unusual, in our understanding, the traditions of Japan.
