The annual Olympiad “USA: history and modern system of international relations” organized by the Resource Centre of American Studies was held on May 5, 2012.
KazNU Al-Farabi has become the first University in Central Asia, where the world’s famous company Hewlett-Packard (HP) opens its representation. University and HP have signed a Memorandum on the establishment of a modern training and research center.
Teaching and Research Center at the University will be established within the program "HP Institute of Technology" and will be equipped with HP software. The project is implemented with the support of HP Business Development Organization in emerging markets (Growth Market Organization) and the HP Board in Central and Eastern Europe.

Young Woong Jae told about the activities of POSCO company, programs that are supported by the Foundation and their results. In particular, he gave an example, that a graduate of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of KazNU in 2005, Yulia Andreeva, thanks to the support of the Foundation has successfully graduated from the University in South Korea and got a job in POSCO.
