MOLYUKOV IVAN DMITRIEVICH

From 1942 to 1947 he was the dean of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics.

 

Professor I.D. Molyukov headed the Department of Theoretical Mechanics for more than 40 years. From 1943 to 1947 he was the dean of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, and from 1959 to 1965 he was vice-rector for scientific work of the university. I.D. Molyukov made an invaluable contribution to the establishment and development of mechanics in Kazakhstan. Although he himself was a specialist in theoretical mechanics, it was they who laid the foundations for the future development of continuum mechanics - hydroaeromechanics, theory and elasticity and plasticity. In the middle of the 60s, he planned and included in the project of the new building of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of the laboratories of hydroaeromechanics of the resistance of materials with the corresponding special equipment.

 

For success in the field of training scientific and pedagogical personnel for the national economy and science of the republic, he was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, the Badge of Honor and medals of the USSR. As a recognition of the high qualities of pedagogical activity, I.D. Molyukov in 1974 was awarded the honorary title "Honored Worker higher school of the Kazakh SSR".
