Department of Biostatistics and Evidence-Based Medicine from March 13 to 23, 2018, was organized for undergraduates of the specialty "Public Health" a scientific internship, who study at the Medical Faculty –KazNU named after al-Farabi. The internship was held on the basis of the Faculty of Fundamental Medicine of Moscow State University named after M. Lomonosov. Lomonosov under the program "Scientific Research in Medicine". In total, 11 undergraduates were trained.

         The internship program was developed taking into account the carrying out of preparatory work for the completion of scientific research on the subject of scientific work of undergraduates. The program was designed in such a way that the trainee could make the most of the scientific component of his dissertations.

         The base of practice has sufficient resources for undergoing a scientific internship for undergraduates. Seminars, lectures and consultations for master's theses were conducted by experienced and qualified teachers.

During the internship, the undergraduates mastered the methods of planning the research, calculating the sample size, selecting the correct method of statistical analysis of data and presenting the results, obtaining basic ideas about working with the most popular computer systems for statistical data processing.

         During the internship, the undergraduates showed their readiness to complete the scientific work, received the necessary amount of theoretical and practical knowledge for further use in their professional activities.
As a result of the internship the undergraduates gave positive feedback.
