Kazakhstan, Russia and Azerbaijan: Combating infections related to the provision of medical care

The level of infectious morbidity in countries, including infections related to the provision of medical care (ISPM), is one of the indicator components that characterize the "health index of the nation". IICP is one of the most acute problems that has been and remains relevant for the health of the whole world. According to domestic and foreign researchers, ISMPs occur in at least 5-12% of patients entering treatment facilities. This figure does not take into account the incidence of ISMP in patients receiving outpatient care and undergoing invasive diagnostic examinations. Insufficient effectiveness of preventive measures taken against IMSI is an important socio-medical and economic problem.

Kolosovskaya "The experience of introducing a system of microbiological monitoring in the health facilities of the Russian Federation as part of a policy of containing antibacterial resistance." Thanks to the great experience of the professor in this field, the presentation has integrated all the experience of the Russian Federation in combating ISPM. Kolosovskaya E.N., who headed the work of the medical information and analysis center of the St. Petersburg City Health Department for more than 10 years, took part in the development of a number of normative documents and standards of the Russian Federation, methodological guidelines on epidemiological surveillance of the ISMP.

The database of the international computer program WHO NET on monitoring antibiotic resistance of bacterial strains and the possibility of their use for epidemiological diagnostics of ISMPs aroused the greatest interest among the medical scientists present. At the end of the round table, participants noted the fruitfulness of the discussion and the usefulness of the exchange of opinions among specialists of different profiles and the need for further meetings and collegial discussions to improve the systems of infection control, prevention of ISMP, and the quality of medical care for the population.
