The regular meeting of the club was devoted to the discussion of scientific reports prepared by students for the traditional April student conference "Farabi Alemi." In particular, the work of 4th year student Aldybekova Aidana, 1st year students Askarova Botagoz and Tolymbek Kazez presented their reports. The meeting was led by the club Associate Professor of World History, Historiography and Source Studies, Ph.D. E.T. Kartabeeva, the meeting was also attended by students' supervisors, teachers - Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Zhumagulov K.T. and Ph.D., associate professor Sadykova R.O. According to the results of the meeting, it was decided to approve the submitted works to the student scientific conference.

The next meeting of the club "Ethnologist" was held. The main theme of the meeting was the preparation of students for the conference of young scientists "Farabi ale". The discussion of the work was attended by the head of the department Omarov G.K., who gave advice and noted inaccuracies in the work of students.

Professor of the Washington University (Washington state university) Marina Tolmacheva, as a visiting Professor of the Department of world history, historiography and source studies from October 2018 to January 29, 2019 on the Fulbright program, read a lecture course "Eurasia in the context of world history" for historians - undergraduates of the 1st course.
