In order to implement the tasks set in the program article of the first president of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev's «Seven Facets of the Great Steppe» in the framework of the VI international «Farabian readings» at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University international scientific-practical conference «Botai culture and other eneolithic monuments of Central Asia» started by the research institute «Archeology and steppe civilizations» faculty of History, archeology and ethnology.

The head of the Fund for Information and Methodological Support for the Museums of Kazakhstan Kazmuseum.kz Zholbarys Nurserik held a master class on the topic “Museums of the Present and Future of Kazakhstan”. Teachers and undergraduates were awarded diplomas.

About preparing for the city competition, which will be held in the Archive of the President in April 12, 2019.

The XI Republican student subject Olympiad in the specialty 5B041900 - “Museum Management and Protection of Monuments”. It was attended by six teams from all over Kazakhstan. The Olympiad consisted of 3 stages: presentation, excursion, project protection. The main prize was a team from Shymkent.

On March 26, 2019, the regular meeting of the club "Zhas archivist"was held. The meeting was rassmotren the question of training members of the club at Farabi reading. The reports of the members of the club S. Sablin, A. Saibaiwei, A. Alimova as well.

Scientific  club involves students of 1 - 4 courses and postgraduates of the faculty of history, archeology and ethnology on specialty "History".   The club is also attended by foreign students studying at the University of exchange and listening to special courses, for example, a student of the University of California (USA) Megan Ford made a report on "The Third Crusade", which aroused great interest among students.

March 14, at the faculty of history, archeology and Ethnology, Department of archeology, Ethnology and museology in conjunction with the club "Ethnologist" and master students of the 1st course of the specialty "Archeology and Ethnology" , "museology and protection of monuments" held an event "The beginning of the new year is the tradition of Korisu". The event continued with a concert program organized by students and undergraduates on the basis of the exhibition of the Museum Association of Almaty, as well as issues on national traditions and customs.

A Round table was held on the theme: "My specialty is my pride". Participants are graduates and students majoring in "Archival Studies, documentation and documentation support."

Head of the department of Archeology, ethnology and museology of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Gani Omarov, Professor Dosbol Baygunakov, renowned restorer Kyrym Altynbekov and senior teacher Samat Sapatayev from February 25 to March 8 completed a scientific internship at the Florence Restoration Center (Italy) " Opificio delle pietre dure” working since 1588.

On March 6, 2019 at the faculty of history, archeology and ethnology was held a cultural evening dedicated to the International women's day, organized by students of the 1st course of specialties "Library science", "Archival Studies, documentation, DPM". Students organized a concert program with congratulations of teachers of the faculty.
