Department of International Relations and World Economy is thrilled to announce an upcoming event dedicated to exploring and advancing Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 9: “Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure” within the context of Central Asia. This event has been inspired by the thought-provoking research conducted by Aida Yerimpasheva titled “The Impact of Logistics on Economic Cooperation in Central Asia,” which has been accepted for presentation at the 18th International SilkRoad Conference (ISRC 2023) that will be held in Tbilisi on 20-22 October 2023 in the Black Sea University.

Why Central Asia Matters for SDG 9? Central Asia is a region of immense economic potential, and its sustainable development is vital to achieving SDG 9. This event will focus on the impact of logistics and economic cooperation in Central Asia, shedding light on the challenges and opportunities for advancing infrastructure, innovation, and industry in the region.

Engaging in discussions with experts and scholars as they delve deeper into the unique challenges and strategies for advancing SDG 9 in Central Asia would give opportunities to connect with fellow researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals who are dedicated to the sustainable development of Central Asia.
