As part of the events it is dedicated to the thirtieth anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, senior lecturer of the Department of Diplomatic Translation Gulmira Zhanuzakova and candidate of philological sciences, translator Aitkali Bakytov and candidate of philological sciences Aigerim Smagulova organized educational conference "Pros and cons of electronic translation tools". During the educational conference, translator Aitkali Bakytov spoke about the works of Kazakh writers and poets who are translates into foreign languages “Looking to the Future”: Modernization of public Consciousness" on the development of social and humanitarian sciences “New Humanitarian knowledge. Within the events of the project “100 new textbooks in the Kazakh language”, he briefly spoke about the works translated into Kazakh from foreign languages. . In addition, he shared his opinion on the pros and cons of using electronic translation tools in the translation process. The students were very interested in the report, they asked questions to the speaker and shared their opinions.

On February 23, 2021, an online round table on the topic "My idol Suyunbai", dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the birth of Zhambyl Zhabayev, was held with students of the 2nd year of the specialty "World Economy" of the Faculty of International Relations of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The round table began with the report of the group's adviser Smagulova A. S. and continued with a presentation prepared by Zhumagalieva Laula in Kazakh about the life and art of Zhambyl Zhabayev. Further on, Darina Berdenova shared many details in Russian. As always, the round table was held in three languages. Speaking in English, Nurgazy Simbat noted the poems and works of Zhambyl Zhabayev, his place in Kazakh literature.
During the round table, the students of the group developed their thoughts in a variety of ways. Each poem by Zhambyl Zhabayev is an immortal legacy to the people, to future generations!
On February 1, 2021, an online round table on " One sound — one letter new version of the Kazakh alphabet in Latin " was held with 2nd year students of the Faculty of International Relations of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, majoring in "World Economy".
The round table began with a report by the group's advisor A.S. Smagulova, she spokes about the history and the main stages of the formation of the Kazakh Latin alphabet, and then continued in Russian with a presentation prepared by Yerbolova Gulzhanat, who shared a lot of information. Then Zhumagaliyeva Laula's thoughts on the Latin alphabet in the Kazakh language were told. The round table, as usual, was held in three languages. Speaking in English, Zhumabayeva Diana reviewed the advantages and disadvantages. During the online round table, the Latin alphabet was analyzed in detail, students' views were heard and the alphabet was described.
During the round table, the students of the group developed their views in detail. One of them supported, and the other stood out by proving their shortcomings with concrete evidence.
Access to the Latin alphabet is necessary to enter the world scientific and linguistic space. This is a letter common to all Turkic peoples. In addition, the use of letters is more compatible with the phonetics of the Kazakh language. We are learning English to master world science and technology, economics. Undoubtedly, the Latin alphabet is the basis for learning the language.
On January 18, 2021, in the MO-95 group, an educational hour was held on the topic "Tauelsizdik barinen kymbat" (Tauelsizdik is the most precious). The purpose of the educational hour is to popularize the article of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev "Tauelsizdik barinen kymbat" (Tauelsizdik is the most precious) published on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Independence, as well as the formation of patriotic consciousness among students and a sense of loyalty to the Motherland, pride in the achievements of the country, a careful attitude to the historical past and traditions of the people of Kazakhstan, clarify the directions of the article. The educational hour was held on the Zoom platform with the participation of 12 students. Group advisor Aigerim Aktas gave a short description of the article and listened to the opinions of each student. The activist of the group Myrzagali Shapagat emphasized the importance of the President's article in the direction of young people, and that every student who is not indifferent to the future of Kazakhstan should carefully read the article. In addition, Otzhanov Adilzhan deeply studied the paragraph where the status of the Kazakh language is set out and shared his views. At the end of the educational hour, the group adviser Aktas Aigerim thanked the students and presented them with letters of thanks.

Open lesson report on December 2, 2020 as part of the study of the discipline "Social and political topics of the media" for 3rd year students on the specialty "Regional studies" was held by the teacher of the Diplomatic Translation department candidate of philological science Smagulova A.S., on theme «Election in the World». The lesson was also attended by teachers of the Department of Diplomatic Translation: deputy head of educational and methodical work S. Sagidoldin, senior teacher G.K. Zhantileuova, senior teacher D.B. Madieva and senior teacher R.M. Rakhimbaeva.
The teacher prepared a presentation on the topic of the lesson. The lesson was of a combined type. This lesson combined control, knowledge formation, consolidation and improvement of knowledge, formation of skills and abilities, summing up learning outcomes, defining homework.
The structure of the open lesson included the following stages: the organizational stage, issues of critical thinking, goal setting, updating knowledge, introducing knowledge, generalizing and systematizing knowledge, performing tasks of a distance and creative type, summing up the results of training. The occupation corresponded to the syllabus of discipline.
Educational, developmental and educational goals were set. Students were fostered with interest in information about the presidential elections, in the culture and language of the country of the target language, news in the mass media. The open lesson was very well organized. From the first minutes, the attention of students was directed to active work on the topic Election in the USA and UK.
Students and teachers of the faculty of International Relations take part in all activities of the university and the region, as well as organizing exhibitions. Advisers also work as the leader of the academic groups according to the social and educational work plan of the university, faculty and department.
