On October 12, 2022, the public association “Non-governmental organization “MAN and SOCIETY” held a lecture on the prevention of religious extremism and terrorism among students of the college of KazNU named after al-Farabi.Members of the information and explanatory group, senior lecturer of al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Phd doctoral student, religious scholar Erlan Galymzhanovich Berikbaev and senior lecturer of the Department of Religious and Cultural Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, culturologist Aytenova Alfiya Amanzholovna spoke at the meeting.The audience was introduced to the signs of destructive religious movements, methods of spreading extremist ideas, and was told about the relationship between national and religious values.The experts noted the importance of raising the general culture and education of the population, including legal awareness, the establishment of tolerant traditions in the family and society to ensure interfaith peace and harmony.During the event, the participants received answers to their questions.
