Scientific connection between the National Center for Manuscripts and Rare Books in Astana and the Research Center "Written Heritage and Spiritual Heritage"
10/18-26/2022 Director of the Research Center "Written Monuments and Spiritual Heritage" of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University, associate professor Z. Shadkam and specialist of the center O. Tuyakbaev were on a scientific trip to Astana.
The business trip was implemented within the framework of the grant project AR09259326 "Dastur al-ilaj - the source of steppe medicine." During the trip, Zubaida Shadkam had the opportunity to meet with the director of the National Center for Manuscripts and Rare Books of the Ministry of Culture and Sports Boldykov Zhandos, and also got acquainted with the work of the center, handwritten books and catalogs written in the Chagatai language.
Z. Shadkam held a seminar for young specialists of the center on the topic "Difficulties arising in the processing, preservation, cataloging of manuscripts and rare books written in Arabic script" and shared her many years of experience.
As a result, between the National Center for Manuscripts and Rare Books and the Research Center "Written and Spiritual Heritage" of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi was signed a memorandum of cooperation.
