Day of the Republic at the Kazakh National University
At the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, on the initiative of the rector Zhanseit Tuymebayev, a marathon, a solemn procession, a forum and a fair "Golden Autumn" were held in campus in honor of the Day of the Republic. The event began as a marathon competition with the participation of domestic and foreign teachers and students of all faculties. The participants of the event showed great interest in handicrafts, various national dishes, an art exhibition and concert programs presented at the fair. At the end of the marathon, the rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuymebaev presented the winners with cups and letters of thanks. KazNU students marched from Al-Farabi Avenue to the “Mangilik el” ate arch with the flag of the Kazakh nation, supported the challenge that started in the republic and sang the National Anthem. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Ph.D. N.B. Em, head of department Turksoy M.A. K.T. Gabdullin and staff of the department also participated.
Foreign professor N. Chakyr, who came from Turkey to teach at the Turksoy department of KazNU, noted that the week organized at our university was held at a very high level, thanked the university staff and congratulated all Kazakhstanis on the Day of the Republic.
