"Research and storage of rare books in Kazakhstan" and the ceremony of permission of books for scientific research

         The round table "Research and storage of rare books in Kazakhstan" and the ceremony of permission of books for scientific research by the Duisembekov family to the Al-Farabi library, took place in the library of Al-Farabi KazNU on October 14, 2022.

       The round table was attended by Board member - Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Tassibekov Kh.S., Acting Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Yem N.B., Director of the Library of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Sikinbayeva A.B., Chairman of the Board of the Kazakh Research Institute for Plant Protection and Quarantine named after Zh. Zhiyenbayeva - Duisembekov B.A. and members of the Duisembekov family, Director of the Department of Legal and Documentation Support Zholdasbayev G.S., Deputy Director of the Library of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Arekenova Zh.A., Director of the center " Written Monuments and Spiritual Heritage" Shadkam Z., Acting Head of the department Turksoy Gabdullin K.T., Head of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia Kokeyeva D.M., Head of the research group Paltore Y.M. and other members of the research group.

       The round table was opened by a member of the Board - Vice-rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Tassibekov Kh.S. The round table was attended by the Director of the Library of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Sikinbayeva A.B., the head of the research group Paltore Y.M., members of the research group Shadkam Z., Tuyakbay O. On the part of the Duisembekov family, the Duisembekov family members Duisembekov B.A. and Duisembekova S.A.

     The round table discussed the conditions for storing books and the necessary equipment worth 30 million tenge, the relevance of the study of rare books of the Duisembekov family for the study of rare books written in Arabic, Persian, Chagatai and other Turkic languages within the framework of grant funding projects of the Ministry of Higher Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and international projects jointly with research centers of the Central Asia, Iran, Turkey, Arab countries.

     In conclusion, the Duisembekov family gave permission for the use of rare books for scientific research by a research group organized by the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
