On December 15, in honor of the Independence Day, was held an open lesson on the zoom platform «Қасіретім, ар-намысым, мақтанышым-Желтоксан» by 4th year students of the specialty "Kazakh philology" and the adviser of the group Gulshat Uabidenkyzy. The open lesson was held with the participation of candidate of philological Sciences, senior lecturer Umirbekova Roza Kaldybekovna. There were instructive talks, were shown videos, were read poems dedicated to the «Желтоқсан желі».

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Faculty of Philology and World Languages curatorial hour was held.

      Undergraduates exchanged views on the bloody history of the Kazakh people, the glorious genealogy. Every nation has its own values ​​that are mascot and revered. The same is true of the December 1986 uprising for the Kazakh nation. December is the soul of the nation, the virtues and tragedies of the Kazakh people. This year marks the 30th anniversary of this bloody genealogy. When you think about it, historical justice is not short-lived.

This is a great day when the dream of our ancestors came true and gave freedom to our country! May the flag of our country be glorified and the future prosper in such an important historical thought!

On November 30, 2020, on the ZOOM platform with the participation of associate professor of KazNU named after Al-Farabi, candidate of philology Utemisova Gulmira Zhetkergenovna with her curatorial advisory group KF-103 on the occasion of the "Day of the first president of the Republic of Kazakhstan", an open curatorial hour was held with the name "Тhe Elbasy s path - the part of patriotism and heroism ". During the lesson, the story of the young man Nursultan and his mother was masterfully executed, which became a reality in life, and the students became famous for their acting skills. The life of the head of state has been widely discussed and disseminated by innovative methods. First there was a song, then there was music, dances and the authors' works of students were performed.

"The future of Kazakhstan is educated youth," the president said. Therefore, the first requirement for our students is education. We hope that educated youth will raise the spirit of our country and will glorify the whole world and prove that the Kazakh people are a great people!

On November 4, 2020 at 12:00 on the ZOOM platform, an open curatorial hour on the topic "Life in Science" was held, organized by 2nd year students of Kazakh philology, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Smagulova Guldarkhan Nurgazievna, Doctor of Philology, and Professor of Kazakh Linguistics at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. On this day, students, undergraduates and teachers of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and other universities of Kazakhstan contacted. During the meeting, Professor Guldarkhan Nurgazievna was asked questions. National singer Yerlan Ryskali took part and sang.

On 16.10.2020 at 15:00 students of the 4th and 1st year of the specialty " Kazakh Philology "held an online open curatorial hour in English"Soft and hard skills, the importance of a language specialist in a new, competitive time". Curatorial classes were held via the ZOOM platform, with the participation of teachers and students of the faculty of Philology and world languages. It was said that the state of the Republic of Kazakhstan is competitive, and the contribution of each of its citizens to the prosperity of our country, especially at the present time, is training in the online format, that is, learning foreign languages, getting acquainted with the branches of art and culture, as well as other States.

In honor of the 1150th anniversary of Al-Farabi, an open educational hour in online format on the theme "Residents of the good city" was organized by 1st year undergraduates majoring in Kazakh philology (23.11.2020).  Our undergraduates analyzed the six chapters of Abu Nasir al-Farabi's book "Treatises on the People of the Good City", which are considered in each section of the book, looking for convenient ways to build a good society.  Al-Farabi believes that the main goal of state policy is to bring happiness and prosperity to the people.  He emphasizes that "happiness is the most precious, the greatest, the most perfect of all blessings" and that everyone has every right to it.  He says that only city dwellers, who are ruled by good rulers, have the right to be happy.  Our undergraduates also asked interesting questions and shared interesting facts about al-Farabi.  Another lesson from today's lesson is that we are convinced that our undergraduates are young people with quick thinking, deep analysis, strong, necessary for real science.

12.02.2020: We organized round table on topic “Preparation of a competitive model of a specialist in the process of education” шn the framework of the conference dedicated to the 1150 anniversary of al-Farabi "Modern interpretation of al-Farabi's pedagogical views during the digitalization of education".

The purpose of round table: to prepare a new comprtitive model of specialist philologist during the digitalization of education together with employers.

On September 5, 2019 there was a meeting of the curator-adviser of the 1 course undergraduates of the Faculty of Philology and World Languages ​​of the Department of Philology and World Languages ​​Imanalieva Gaziza Kynuarbekkyzy with the students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. During the meeting, the rules of the university walls were announced. In addition, we discussed the President's message to the people of Kazakhstan on August 2, 2019 and 2 September.

The Head of State said that it is necessary to raise the status of the General Pedagogue and to develop infrastructure and material resources corresponding to teachers' qualifications, quality of textbooks and modern trends.

 
   

Poetry contest was held
On February 27, 2019 in the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, a poetry contest called “I am Kazakh” was held, organized by the Department of Kazakh Linguistics of Faculty of Philology, Literary Studies and World Languages.
This competition was organized in honor of the 100th anniversary of Zhuban Moldagaliyev, People’s writer of Kazakhstan, laureate of the Kazakhstan State Prize and the 55th anniversary of the publication of the poem “I am Kazakh”. More than 100 students who are between 5-11 grades took part in this event.
The aim of the competition was to develop patriotic feelings in poet's works, to rise the national spirit and this goal is achieved. Because many children read poetry and ambitious inspirations. The youth confirmed that the poem "I am Kazakh" had been like a monument to the Kazakh spirit.
85 prizes in accordance with 85th anniversary of the KazNU (I, II, III places and letters of appreciation) were nominated for the best performers of the competition. On behalf of the Research Center called "Linguachannel", which was established within the department, cash prizes and other prizes were awarded. The best wishes like becoming students of KazNU were told to students who are going to graduate the school in this year.
Definitely, this event was unforgettable and students will remember it for a long time.

This tradition is called “Yerulik”, which is another proof of the hospitality of the Kazakh people. On December 7 within the framework of the “modernization of public consciousness” an event was held on the theme “Traditions is inexhaustible wealth” and these customs of “Erulyk” and “Bastangy” were shown to students from abroad, who came under the program of academic mobility. Students from China, who study here from September 1, tried traditional dishes and were very happy. Even from there side they sang a song. The event ended with the delivery of gifts.   On December 5, 2018, the Brain Ring was held on December 1 in the Kazakh National Medical University named after SD Asfendiyarov, dedicated to the Day of the First President and the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Poetry event «Independence Era» was held by organization of the chair of Kazakh linguistics of Philology and world languages faculty, al Farabi Kazakh National University.The aim of the programme was to make students deeply understand real notion of the independence,friendship, unity, to strengthen their love of motherland.Students recited poems devoted to the Independence. On October 18, 2018, Chinese students studying academic mobility, along with Professor Timbolova Altynai, visited an exhibition at the Bakshasaray Art Gallery at the Atakent Center at the faculty of Kazakh linguistics at the faculty of philology and world languages. The exhibition titled "Tandem" featured the works of the Kazakh artist Sergey Anarbekov. One of the rarest forms of painting is coloring with enameled fabric. Sergey Anarbekov is one of the best in the country.   2017  December 13-19 Chair of Department of Kazakh linguistics S. Akymbek had a trip to Shanghai Foreign Languages University, China. During the trip take a participation in the official opening celebration of the “Institute of Eurasian countries and Russia”, made a report on the first seminar “Russia, East Europe and Central Asia research: interdisciplinary connection” and delivered the congratulation of the KazNU rector academician R. Mutanov. After the seminar S. Akymbek held a special meeting with the 1 year students of the Department of Kazakh language  during the “Week of Kazakh language specialty and Kazakhstan culture”. At the meeting S. Akymbek presented to students Kazakh books and held a high-grade event of a debate about the importance of social projects holding by KazNU and life of students.

                                            2017. 09. 22-28 Chair of Department of Kazakh linguistics S. Akymbek had a trip to Chinese People Republic as part of the delegation. During the trip there was signed  a bilateral agreement between the Shanghai Foreign Language University and KazNU named after Al-Farabi. In the “Kazakhstan Centre”of the University take a participation in opening the Department of Kazakh language and Literature and held a meeting with the 13 students entered to this University. During the meeting S.
