It is well known that there are large-scale deposits of metals, phosphates and other inorganic compounds in Kazakhstan, as a result the research directions in chair were created as follows: Physico-chemistry of continental salt-formation, Chemical and physico-chemical fundamentals of product recovery with fertilizer properties, physico-chemical analysis of natural salts, acid and bases transformations. At present the mentioned researches are ongoing, at the same time state-of-the-art studies are appeared:

• The recovery of new sorbents and composite materials based on natural nanomaterials (Prof. Burkitbayev M.M.);
• Radioecological investigations of territories contaminated by man-made and natural radionuclides (Prof. Burkitbayev, Ph.D. Kuynova Y.U., Ph.D. Abishev T.B., Csc. Uralbekov B.M.);
• Study of physico-chemical properties of natural phosphates (Prof. Kuanysheva G.S., prof. as. Balgysheva B.D.);
• Chemistry of extraction and sorption of inorganic chemistry (Prof. Tanasheva M.R. , prof.as. Kalabaeva M.K.);
• Applied and local hydrochemistry (Prof. Romanova S.M.).
• Physico-chemical investigations of amidacids (Prof. Nurakhmetov N.N., Prof. Abramova G.V. );
• Scietifico-methodical problems of modern chemistry education (Prof. Nurakhmetov N.N. , prof.as. Bekishev K.B., prof.as. Niazbayeva A.I.).
