A grand and unforgettable event took place on May 25 at Al-Farabi KazNU. The leading University of the country has celebrated its 85th Anniversary and the Day of Graduates.

There was held an extended meeting of the Presidium and the general meeting of the National Academy of Sciences of the Higher School of Kazakhstan (NAS HSK) in the Scientific Library of the KazNU named after Al-Farabi.

Әл-Фараби атындағы ҚазҰУ-да «Қазақстан-2050» Стратегиясы: университеттер қоғамды жаңғырту драйвері ретінде» атты республикалық ғылыми-тәжірибелік  конференция өтті. Университеттің 85 жылдығына орай ұйымдастырылған конференция ҚР БҒМ, Жоғары оқу орындары ректорлары Кеңесінің және жоғары оқу орындары ҰҒА қолдауымен өтті.

Opening ceremony of the mobile information and image project of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy – entitled «Elbasy. Youth. Creativity» was held at Al-Farabi KazNU. It was attended by public and state figures, famous scientists, students and academic staff of the University.

Professor of the Diplomatic Academy of the UAE Muhamad Olimat visited Al-Farabi KazNU. He specializes in the US foreign policy research in the Middle East and North Africa, China’s relations with the countries of the Middle East and Central Asia.

The Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi KazNU conducted a Republican Training Seminar entitled «The Main Media Channels of Effective Communication Companies», jointly with the Central Asian Advertising Association. The event was organized by the Department of Management and Marketing.

A quiz was held within the framework of the Republican Training Seminar on «The Main Media Channels of Effective Communication Companies», in which about 80 students from the specialties of Marketing, Logistics, State and Local Government took part in the event.

The leadership of Al-Farabi KazNU and representatives of the Sofia University (St. Clement of Ohrid), Bulgaria has outlined new areas of cooperation.

The Memorandum of Understanding dedicated to cooperation in Islamic Finance was signed between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Hamad Bin Khalifa University (Qatar), and the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) within the framework of the XII Astana Economic Forum.

In 2019, 85 years have passed since the founding of the first University in the country - S.M. Kirov Kazakh State University (now Al-Farabi KazNU).
