This Sunday, October 1, the twelfth Almaty Marathon was held – the annual largest running competition in Central Asia. The start was given on the Republic Square . About 14,000 amateur athletes ran through the streets of the city to overcome their distances. The 10 km race started, which was also attended by participants of the 10 km Running Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan among veterans. This event is from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Care, Department of Health Policy and Organization, Kazakh National University. al-Farabi was attended by PhD, senior lecturer Baygonova K.S., PhD Zhumabayeva R.B. and Sydykova B.K. Almaty marathon is not only about sports, but also about helping people. The organizers of the marathon every year direct part of the money from the entry fees to create sports infrastructure for those who need it. The monetary prize fund of the Almaty Marathon this year amounted to 8,450,000 tenge. All marathon winners were awarded with cash prizes.
