On December 14, 2021, the Department of Economics and 2nd year undergraduates of the EP "7M04102-Economics" of the Higher School of Economics and Business organized a round table on the topic: "INDEPENDENT KAZAKHSTAN: COMPETITIVENESS AND STABILITY" in an online format dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The purpose of the event is to consider the current state of the socio-economic system of Kazakhstan, assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on socio-economic aspects, determine the main measures and measures to develop and improve the competitiveness of the economy and the nation, and improve the quality of life of the population. During the event, the following topics were discussed: Achievements of Kazakhstan over the years of independence; The impact of the pandemic on the country's economy; Independent Kazakhstan: problems and prospects; TSA in the system of social and economic protection of the population; Small and medium business as a factor in the development of innovations in the economy of Kazakhstan. The event was attended by the teaching staff and young scientists of the Higher School of Economics and Business. During the round table, the participants discussed the achievements of the country over the years of independence, reviewed the current situation of the socio-economic system of Kazakhstan, identified the main measures for the development and improvement of the competitiveness of the economy and the nation, improving the quality of life of the population.
