Preparation of PhD doctors with fundamental scientific and professional training, proficient in modern theories and innovative methods of system analysis in logistics, able to formulate and solve modern scientific and practical problems in the field of optimization of logistics systems based on an in-depth study of the theoretical and methodological foundations of innovative supply chain management and modern theories and design methods in logistics, the use of mathematical models and research methods in logistics, to organize and successfully carry out scientific and pedagogical, research and experimental research activities in the field of logistics.

Educational outcome

Upon completion of this educational program, it is expected that students will be able to:

ON1: to Develop solutions for the reorganization and process management activities of enterprises, which allows to improve business processes in logistics systems and supply chains in an uncertain market and the introduction of innovative technologies on the basis of systematization and interpretation of the main directions and a minimum set of mathematical models and methods of engineering and reengineering..

ON2: Create organizational and managerial structures of logistics systems, integrate project management of innovation activities into the supply chain management system for formalized description and management of logistics systems using mathematical apparatus, structural and functional models, methods and models of logistics systems design at the micro and macro levels, methods of system analysis of management goals and functions.

ON3: Generate effective logistics strategies for improving the management of any object using the principles and laws of the science of innovative logistics management based on the use of tools and technologies of integrated strategic supply chain planning in the logistics management of organizations, projects and networks, methods of strategic supply chain controlling and methods of forecasting the development of the supply chain.

ON4: to conduct a comprehensive analysis of logistics projects and their implementation practices, to conduct risk analysis when making management decisions, to determine the feasibility of using the method of reducing innovation risk, to assess the state of the logistics services market from the point of view of providing the right solutions for logistics outsourcing/outsourcing, to identify current problems in the management of logistics systems and supply chains.

ON5 Plan and organize events, design work on the formation of transport and technological logistics systems, organize simulation work in order to find rational technical, technological and organizational solutions and make design decisions with several criteria of efficiency in supply chains, organize and conduct tenders for the selection of logistics service providers in supply chains.

ON6 Design optimal business processes, transform the designed processes into enterprise standards, organize business in accordance with the requirements of standards and identify deviations from standards; create and argue the idea of a project aimed at innovative development of logistics structures.

ON7: To model logistics systems, processes and supply chains in the format of multi-criteria optimization tasks and to predict the results and consequences of decisions made in logistics and supply chain management, to develop a mechanism for cross-functional coordination of material flow management.

ON8: Evaluate the effectiveness of business processes and proposed management solutions in supply chains, the feasibility of reengineering logistics business processes based on methods and software for structural, cost and dynamic analysis of business processes; the effectiveness of the implementation of supply chain development plans, assess the external environment, key performance indicators of logistics business processes logistics, evaluate logistics costs of various configurations of the logistics chain.

ON9: To design and carry out independent comprehensive research, including interdisciplinary, using effective methods of planning and organizing scientific research of high significance within the framework of ongoing projects, forming a consistent methodology for their implementation, to develop new research methods and own original solutions to research problems in the field of logistics and supply chain management, using scientific methods of research practice and methodological tools of academic writing based on domestic and international standards

ON10: Independently develop a scientific project, submit it to a grant funding competition and manage a scientific project, prepare an expert opinion on the results of scientific expertise of sustainable development projects and assessment of the consequences and contribution of innovations to the design of sustainable development of logistics systems and supply chains based on the use of online services of reference apparatus and mental maps; rules of annotation and summarization

ON11: To design, implement and evaluate the educational process and educational programs in accordance with the requirements of employers, to create, use and offer original teaching methods and approaches, to adapt innovative achievements of science and technology to the processes of education and self-education based on modern achievements of teaching methodology and professional knowledge in the field of reengineering, system analysis and modeling of logistics business processes..

N12: Systematize professional and scientific knowledge, generate new applied knowledge, plan and make a forecast of professional development, possess skills of interaction and leadership in a team, take initiative and responsibility in professional activities, publish the results of their own research in foreign scientific publications with a non-zero impact factor and reviewed in the Thomson Reuters or Scopus database.

For the implementation of the educational program at the department there is a Center "Smart Marketing and Logistics".

Within the framework of the center, scientific schools are being developed, such as E-commerce in a pandemic, "Smart" Food Supply Chains, Logistics processes in a pandemic. The Center is aimed at improving the qualifications of teachers, expanding cooperation with employers, strengthening international collaboration with scientists from leading universities, attracting undergraduates and doctoral students to research activities, and commercializing scientific research. The Smart Marketing and Logistics Center is always open to promising and mutually beneficial proposals, both from the scientific community and from business and production.

On the basis of the Department of "Business Technologies" there is a student scientific circle "Logistics of the future". The circle is organized with the aim of improving scientific work with students and young scientists of the department, improving the quality of training qualified specialists to work in various sectors of the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. As well as creating the necessary conditions for the formation and development of interest in scientific activity, support for talented young scientists and the formation of the country's human resources potential.
