Every autumn in the city of Almaty, on the initiative of the Amateur Volleyball Federation, the Championship among amateur volleyball teams "Kuz-2020" is held. This year 41 teams participated in the competition. Teams are divided into several Divisions. Orash Nurkuat, a 2 nd year student majoring in Physical Education and Sports, as part of his JML team, won a bronze medal in Division A. The championship was held in a wonderful friendly atmosphere, with a lot of beautiful moments, strikes and blocks.

Vitaly Khudyakov is a student of Al-Farabi KazNU, holder of a license for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, multiple champion of Asia on August 5, 2020 swam across Lake Issyk-Kul in record time. The swim distance was 56 kilometers, the water temperature was 18-10 degrees, the maximum depth of the route was 523 meters. The swim time is 13 hours 18 minutes, which is a unique and record-breaking achievement.
