01/26/2024, Zubaida Shadkam, ass. prof. Department of Turksoy, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi KazNU, director of the research center “Written Monuments and Spiritual Heritage” conducted an online scientific seminar for students of Istanbul University (Istanbul, Turkey) on the topic: “Farabi Kazak Milli Üniversitesi Kütüphanesi “Nadir Eserler ve Değerli Yayınlar” Bölümünde Bulunan Arap Harfli Tarihi Türkçe Metinler". The seminar was organized according to the plan of the winter school between the two universities. The event was held within the framework of the 4th SDG goal: quality education.

At the seminar, general information was presented on the state of medieval manuscripts in Central Asia, the problems of their search, preservation and research, classification, examination and research of manuscripts in Kazakhstan, manuscripts in the “Rare Books and Valuable Editions” fund of the Al-Farabi Library, research and goals of the research center “Written Monuments and Spiritual Heritage”.
