Topical issues of modern literary theory and its development trends

 

Literature is a treasury of world and national culture. In the current difficult life conditions we sometimes forget about its role and significance in our life. Through literary works, we can trace important historical milestones in the life of any state. Reading literary works, we not only broaden our horizons, but make our inner world richer and brighter. Plunging into the world of prose or poetry, we rethink our life priorities and make our focus on universal human values ​​in the first place. In this regard, on October 29, 2020, on the ZOOM platform, the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory held an online conference dedicated to topical issues of modern literary theory. The conference was devoted to the 70th anniversary of the prominent scholar of Kazakh literary theory, academician of Ch. Aitmatov International Academy of Social Sciences, Bisengali Zinol-Gabden Kabiuly, who made a significant contribution to the development of the study of the genres of prose, poetry and journalism of Kazakh literature from the viewpoint of the latest paradigms of modern philology.
The scholars from near and far abroad (Turkey, Japan, the Kyrgyz Republic), Kazakh literary scholars, university teachers, employees of research institutions, PhD students, master students, bachelor students, and media representatives took part in the conference. Within the framework of the conference, the trends in the development of domestic and world literary theory were discussed.
The well-known Kazakhstani statesman, poet, playwright, honored worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Orazalin opened the plenary part of the conference. In his speech, he expressed his  gratitude and respect to the hero of the day and noted the importantce of his contribution to the development of domestic and world literary theory. The academician Abdyldazhan Akmataliyev (Republic of Kyrgyzstan) also made a speech during the plenary part. In his speech, he emphasized the academician Z.G.K. Bisengali’s role in strengthening research links between the scientific community of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The famous philologist, professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, professor Zh. D. Dadebaev ended the plenary part with his speech. After theplenary part,   the section part began. The reports presented at the conference were devoted to the role of Professor Bisengali’s research in the training of the students of literary theory major. The event was  ended with congratulations of the students of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Theory of Literature and panel discussion.
