Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has three polling stations for voting in early presidential elections.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University solved the problem of lack of accommodation by carrying out major repairs. It is planned to increase the living area of the university dormitories by 2,000 places.

On 12.11.2022, an educational contest "one thousand and one proverbs, one hundred and one riddles" was held at the Department of pre-university training within the framework of the cultural and educational club "Shamshyrak". The purpose of the competition: the formation of language skills, the development of speech culture. The competition consisted of 7 rounds: the competition was conducted by the listener of the 3rd group Kosmanov. The contestants were divided into two groups and tested their knowledge. In such contests as the interpretation of proverbs, the concealment of riddles, the disclosure of stable expressions, the group members competed interestingly and fervently, and the main participants competed in unmistakable pronunciation without mistakes. As a result, the group "Algyrlar" scored 23 points, and the group "Zhas-Ulan" - 28 points.At the end of the competition, the leaders of the Shamshyrak club: Adilkhanova Zh. S., Tileuzhanova G. T., Muzhigova G. M. determined the number of points in both groups and wished our students who will forever remember and will not forget our treasures of the Kazakh language wealth.

The winner of the Grand Prix in the nomination Folk dance “Farabi fest”-2022 was a student from the Republic of Mongolia of the 8th group of the Department of Pre-university training Khayrol Akhgul. Among the young people who took part from all faculties of the university, Akhgul, who professionally performed traditional Mongolian dance, passed all the stages and impressed the jury with her art. We wish Ahgul a bright future!

The winner of the 2nd place in the nomination Folk dance “Farabi fest”-2022, which traditionally takes place at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, was a student of the 6th group of the Department of Pre-university training from the People's Republic of China, Abdihalel Beibit. Students and teachers of the training department took an active part in this event to support and congratulate Beibit. Beibit, happy victory!! We wish you to always be on top!!!

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was included in the QS ranking of the Asian region of universities for the first time and took 44th place. KazNU is also recognized as the first university in Central Asia, taking 1st place in the rating "QS Asia University Rankings 2023: Central Asia". In the 2023 edition, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University entered the top 6% in the QS Asia University Rankings.

Published annually since 2009, the QS Asia University Rankings annually highlights the best universities in Asia.

KazNU participates in the QS Asia University Rankings for the first time along with world-renowned universities such as the National University of Singapore, Peking University, Tokyo University, University of Malaya, Korean University and others.

On November 3, 2022, a meeting was held at the Faculty of Pre-university Education with Akim of Bayan-Ulga district Bakytzhan Davilovich. During the meeting, Mr. Bakytzhan told the audience his advice and answered questions. Dean of the faculty Suatai S. K. presented the guest with a gift from the university and thanked him. The audience watched a small concert program prepared by the audience. After the meeting, Bakytzhan Davidovich visited the library of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. After visiting the Al-Farabi Museum dedicated to the spiritual heritage of the great great-grandfather Al-Farabi, he got acquainted with the structural units of the library.

The students of the Department of Pre-university training at the English lesson celebrated the modern international holiday Halloween. During the open lesson, they talked about the meaning, origin, and history of a foreign holiday. On the theme of this holiday, the listeners answered the questions of the "Halloween Quiz".

In honor of the Republic Day, students of the Department of Pre-university training performed in the 1st round of the TV talent contest "SUPER STUDENT", organized on the initiative of the Chairman of the Board-Rector of KazNU named after al-Farabi Tuimebayev Zh.K. In the competition, students took part in various nominations: dance "kara zhorga", kui with dombra, Mongolian dance, solo performance songs.
