On October 5, 2022, a round table on the topic "The role of CICA in modern international relations" was held at the Faculty of International Relations of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with the support of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty. The large-scale event was held as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA).

At the opening ceremony of the round table, the Representative of the UN Department of Global Communications in Kazakhstan - Vlastimil Samek, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Almaty - Jiang Wei, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty - Mohsen Fagani, Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Almaty - Fatkhullaev Abror Jahangirovich made congratulatory remarks. They stressed the need and importance of such dialogue platforms for the peaceful solution of interstate, regional and international problems.

The Consul General of the Republic of Tajikistan in Almaty Ravshan Bobokhonzoda, Consul of the Consulate General of India in Almaty Amit Kumar Sharma, Consul of the Consulate General of Kyrgyzstan in Almaty Asanbekov Zhumashbek Omurzakovich, Vice Consul of the Republic of Turkey in Almaty Shermin Tekin also took part as guests and active discoursers.

In addition, the event became a meeting place for well-known experts and representatives of the academic community, Asian country scientists. Among them, reports were made by Sultanov Bulat Klychbaevich, Baizakova Kuralai Irtysovna, Gubaidullina Mara Shaukatovna, Auelbaev Bolat Alimkhanovich, Augan Malik Alshiorazovich, Kurmanguzhin Rustem Salimovich, Batalova Akmaral Valerianovna, Artykbekova Munira Abdykayumovna.

Following the results of the round table, a resolution was adopted.
