On December 14, 2023, the solemn event “Vestnik Awards-2023” was held in the library of the University of Al-FarabiKazNU, dedicated to awarding the best authors of articles published in the journal “Vestnik of KazNU. Series International Relations and International Law.”

The “Vestnik Awards” competition has been organized for the second year by the Faculty of International Relations and the editorial board of the journal “Vestnik of KazNU. Series International Relations and International Law.”

The competition was organized in order to stimulate research scientists who have made a significant contribution to the development of Kazakhstan`s science.

The competition committee considered articles by authors already published in the journal “Vestnik of KazNU. Series of international relations and international law" in the period 2020, 2021, 2022.

At the event, certificates and cash prizes were awarded to authors of articles who were selected according to the following criteria:

- Number of views (Researchgate database)

- Number of citations (Researchgate database)

- Number of citations (GoogleScholar database)

- Number of citations (SCOPUS database)

Based on the results of the competition, the winners were awarded in the following categories:

- Nomination – “Best scientific article by the author(s) of Al-FarabiKazNU in the journal “Bulletin of KazNU. Series “International Relations and International Law” 2023” - 100,000 tenge.

- Nomination “Best scientific article by author(s) from other universities of Kazakhstan in the journal “Bulletin of KazNU. Series “International Relations and International Law” 2023” - 100,000 tenge.

- Nomination – “Best scientific article by a foreign author(s) in the journal “Bulletin of KazNU. Series “International Relations and International Law” 2023” - 100,000 tenge.

And also, 2 authors in each nomination (6 in total) were awarded certificates from KazNU. al-Farabi.

- Nomination “Best Reviewer, 2023”. 3 reviewers received 50,000 tenge each.

The ceremony for presenting cash prizes and certificates was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, Delovarova Leila Fedorovna, Director of the Department of Science and Innovation of Al-FarabiKazNUBuribaevZholdasAlladinovich, scientific editor of the journal VestnikKazNU. Series International Relations and International Law Zhekenov Duman Kurmangazievich, executive secretary of the journal Gulnara SerikbaevnaBaykushikova, members of the editorial board and authors of articles from the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, authors of articles from other republican universities, as well as foreign authors of articles (online), reviewers.

The authors of the articles received a boost of motivation to write even better and more interesting articles that will be useful for science.

Editorial board of the journal “Vestnikof KazNU. Series International Relations and International Law”, congratulates all the awardees and invites everyone to take part in the next “Bulletin Awards” competition, which will be announced in 2024.
