On Thursday, 16 February, the UN Office in Almaty hosted a roundtable discussion on "30 Years of UN Action in Kazakhstan: As seen through the eyes of Youth" in honour of the opening day of the first UN Office in Kazakhstan. The event was organized by the Representative Office of the Department of Global Communications in Almaty and the Academic Regional Resource and Information Center about the UN, Faculty of International Relations, KazNU named after al-Farabi

On Friday, February 10, at the Faculty of International Relations, the Academic Regional Resource Center on the UN at al-Farabi KazNU held an international Panel Discussion dedicated to the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The international panel discussion covered the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) – 4, 5, 9, 10 and 17.

On Friday, January 27, at the Faculty of International Relations Academic Regional Resource and Information Center about the UN at the Al-Farabi KazNU hosted a Discussion Table dedicated to the International Day of Education.

2.12.2022 Academic Regional Resource and Information Center about the UN at the Faculty of International Relations of the Al-Farabi KazNU hosted an international conference "Round table dedicated to International Anti-Corruption Day and World AIDS Day."

On November 16, 2022, the Faculty of International Relations hosted a public lecture by Professor Richard Weitz, an expert on security and state defense at Wikistrat Global Consultancy, organized by the Department of International Relations and World Economy.

On November 16, 2022, the Faculty of International Relations hosted a public lecture by Professor David Celetti of the University of Padua (Italy) on the topic “The economic role, problems and prospects of Italy in the modern European space”, organized by the Department of International Relations and World Economy.

On November 7, 2022, the Faculty of International Relations hosted a public lecture by Michel Joseph Baranik, Professor of the International University "Ala-Too", on the topic of "The Russia and Ukraine War: Causes and Consequences", organized by the Department of International Relations and World Economy.

On October 7, 2022, International Relations Department of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held publication presentation of the Kazakh version of the book «Atomic Steppe: How Kazakhstan Gave Up the Bomb» written by a famous scholar Togzhan Kasenova, which is published by Stanford University Press in the USA.

On October 5, 2022, a round table on the topic "The role of CICA in modern international relations" was held at the Faculty of International Relations of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with the support of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty. The large-scale event was held as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA).

On October 1, within the walls of the Faculty of International Relations, a new project “Etiquette” began its work. Within the framework of the project, the first event was held in the format of a round table on the topic “Different approaches to assessing international events; Double standarts". The students discussed issues regarding the current situation in the world.
