Baydaulet Amantayuly Urmashev was born on February 4, 1972 in the city of Shadrinsk, Korgan region of the Russian Federation. In 1989, he graduated from the Republican School of Physics and Mathematics. In the same year, he entered KazMU and was admitted to the Faculty of Mechanics and Applied Mathematics as a first-year student. In 1994, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Mechanics and Applied Mathematics of the Kazakh State University and was offered postgraduate studies. From 1994 to 1997, he was a graduate student of the Department of Computing and Applied Mathematics. From 1997 to 1998, he worked as a leading engineer in the research department of KazMU. From 1998 to 2011, he worked as an associate professor at the Department of Chemical Physics and Chemistry of High Molecular Compounds of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi and as a part-time head of the teaching laboratory of computational methods in chemistry. On 01.01.07, 2001, he defended a thesis on the subject of "Iterative algorithms for solving auxiliary equations of the Navier-Stokes lattice for an incompressible fluid in the variable velocity, pressure" in the specialty of computational mathematics. Since 2012, he has served as the head of the department of informatics at KazNU named after Al-Farabi, and since June 2019 he has been working as the dean of the Faculty of Information Technologies of KazNU named after Al-Farabi.
