Dr. Jelena Caiko is a professor at ISMA, Department of Computer Technology and Natural Sciences, Director of the Professional Bachelor's Program, Senior Researcher at Riga Technical University (RTU), Faculty of Energy and Electrical Engineering, Institute of Industrial Electronics and Electrical Engineering.

Dr. Jelena Caiko graduated from the Riga Construction College (construction technician) in 1994 (Diploma Nr.000992), in 1994 from the Riga Aviation University with a degree in computer systems and networks (Bachelor's degree, Nr. 002977, Latvia, Riga), in 2000 the Institute of Transport and Telecommunications, specializing in electrical engineering and electronics (Master's degree, Nr.000021, in 2004 she defended her doctoral dissertation in the field of telecommunications (Dr. sc. Ing., No. 0014, Riga Technical University , Latvia, Riga).
