Seventeen participants from 14 countries attended the course, which took place from July 17 to September 1 and consisted of three stages.
The first stage was conducted online from July 17 to August 20. The practical part of the training was held at Nihon University (Japan) from August 21 to August 30. During this stage, participants learned CubeSat and its subsystem design, conducted assembly and testing of a 1U CubeSat based on the Hepta-Sat kit, and developed their own mission. Additionally, participants visited several companies engaged in spacecraft design in Tokyo, where they familiarized themselves with their mission control centers and clean rooms.

At the third stage, participants delivered lectures and conducted laboratory sessions on nanosatellite design and subsystems for employees of Japanese companies such as ArkEdge Space, IHI Aerospace, IHI Corporation, INAMI Space Laboratory, Japan Manned Space Systems Corporation, NEC Corporation, Hatta Yamamoto Propulsion Engineering and Research. Nazgul Kalieva was selected as one of the main instructors and gave a lecture on spacecraft power system design. This course was organized and funded by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry of Japan (METI) and the Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnership (AOTS).
