Every year in the first weeks of January at KazNU. al-Farabi, the “Health” sports competition is being held, organized by the “Parasat” trade union and the KazNU sports club, with the aim of improving the health and promoting a healthy lifestyle of the faculty and staff of the university.

According to this annual tradition, from January 8 to 18, 2024, various competitions are held in the university’s gyms among teachers and other employees of KazNU as part of the sports competition. Competitions are held between women's and men's teams in table tennis, mini-football, chess, badminton, volleyball and the national board game Togyz Kumalak.

This year, teachers of the Far East Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies actively participated in the competitions of the Spartakiad, including B.M. Kydyrbaev, U. Kabdelova, A.E. Saylaukenova, B.B. Begalieva. The teaching staff of the department stubbornly fight for victory and defend the honor of the faculty at the Spartakiad. Before the Olympics, a lot of organizational work was carried out. These sporting events aroused great interest among the teaching staff, doctoral students and university staff. The competitions helped the Spartakiad participants improve their health and physical condition, increase their emotional tone, and strengthen friendly relations between faculty members.
