On October 20, 2023, a meaningful seminar on history textbooks of Kazakhstan and Korea was held at the Korean Education Center in Almaty under the Embassy of the Republic of Korea. This event was organized by the Korean Education Center in Almaty and was held both online and offline with the participation of textbook experts from Kazakhstan and Korea. At this seminar, experts presented and analyzed information about both countries contained in Kazakhstan and Korean textbooks, and discussed ways to include additional information about the two countries in future textbooks. Professor of the Department of the Far East of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Lee Byоng Jo made a report on the topic “Analysis of texts on the history of Korea reflected in the history textbooks of Kazakhstan.” In his speech, he analyzed the nature and content of information on the history of Korea published in Kazakh textbooks.
