On October 24, 2023, at a ceremony organized on the occasion of Republic Day in the Al-Farabi Library of the Kazakh National University, special awards were presented to teachers of the Far East Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies. Among them, Natalya Borisovna Yem, dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, and Samal Kenesovna Borankulova, senior lecturer of the Far East Department, were awarded letters of gratitude from the mayor of Almaty. Also, the head of the department for training and certification of scientific personnel, Renata Erkinovna Kudaibergenova, was awarded the medal “Eren Enbegi Ushin” (medal “For Labor Distinction”) and the senior lecturer of the Far East Department, Kydyrbaev Bektiyar Myrzabaevich, was awarded a letter of gratitude from the rector of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
