During May 15-16, 2023, inviting professor of the Department of the Far East of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Lee Byong Jo gave a special online lecture to students from the Department of Korean Studies at Ergiyes University in Turkey. A total of three special lectures were held. On the first day, special lectures were given under the themes of “150-year history and culture (tradition) of CIS Gorye Saram” and “Development and Current Status of Korean Studies in the CIS Region: Focusing on Kazakhstan”. , On the second day was held under the theme of “Current Status of Cooperation and Exchanges between Kazakhstan and Korea for the Development of Korean Studies: Focusing on Al-Farabi Kazakh National University ”. A total of 100 undergraduate students, master's and doctoral students, and Korean Studies faculty attended the special lecture. Professor Lee Byong Jo gave a detailed lecture on the Korean studies education situation at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in the last special lecture, and through this, the students and faculty of the Department of Korean Studies at Erziyes University were deeply impressed with the leading role of Alfaravi Kazakh National University in the field of Korean studies education in the CIS region.
