From April 3 to April 7 at KazNU. Al-Farabi, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Department of the Far East with the support of the Education Center of the Republic of Korea in Almaty will host the «Week of Korean Studies». On Monday, April 3, in honor of the opening of the «Week of Korean Studies», a quiz «Ме and Korea» was held among students of 1-2 courses, organized by advisers of 1, 2 and 3 courses Sermukhametova B., Saylaukenova A., Begaliyeva M. and professor of the department Lее B.J. Students of 1-2 courses were divided into 4 groups according to the draw: «Hyangi», «Horani», «Hatbit» and «Kkum» and competed with each other. In total, the competition consisted of four stages. At the first stage, students answered questions about Korea in general, and at the second stage there were questions about famous people of Korea. The third stage was aimed at determining students' knowledge of the Korean language. In the decisive fourth stage, students answered questions about K-pop artists who are very popular with the youth of the world. As a result of the competitive quiz, the «Hatbit» team won with 23 points. At the end of the event, all students who participated in the competition and participated in its organization were awarded prizes.
