Professor Uyama is one of the first to conduct research in the Central Asian region in Japan. In 1995-1996 The professor worked in Kazakhstan as a visiting scholar of the Institute of Oriental Studies.
The professor met with teachers of the Department of Japanese Studies. They talked about the latest news and scientific work in the field of Japanese studies. He shared his experience and gave valuable advice to teachers involved in scientific work in this area.
