From 20.10.2021 to 24.10.2021 at the initiative of the Department of Far East, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized a "Week of Japanese Culture" at the national level. During the week, under the leadership the curator-advisor of the Department of Japanese Studies G.B. Tazabekova with the participation of first-year students held online events on various topics related to the history, culture and society of the country of the East. In particular, there were games, quizzes about the Japanese style of clothing, housing, national cuisine, etc. and master classes in Japanese calligraphy, as well as specially prepared presentations and videos of students.

         The teachers and students of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, the Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages ​​named after Abylai Khan, the Kazakh-Japanese Center for Human Resources Development and the Japanese language school “Ichikawa”, also the pupils of “Damu” intellectual school in Almaty were invited for these events. The "Week of Japanese Culture" was held at a high organizational and substantive level.
