November 2021. According to the results of the annual awarding of scholarships from the POSCO Foundation, one of the seven awards intended for foreign (students studying only on a paid basis at the Al-Farabi KazNU University) students.   The 10 best, most diligent and active students were selected from among all students at the university. One of them is a student of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Alpysbay Dinara. The total amount of scholarships for students on a paid basis was 800 $.

The world-famous POSCO company is the world's largest steel producer. In 2006, she launched the social program "Scholarships to the best students in Asia". Since that time, the International POSCO Foundation has been awarding scholarships to the best students of 12 universities in 10 Asian countries. Among these universities is the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

What the scholarship holder herself says about this: "My name is Dinara Alpysbay. I am a 2nd year student majoring in Oriental Studies. I came from Almaty region. A month ago, I saw an ad for a competition for a POSCO scholarship. After looking at their requirements, I realized that I was suitable, because they needed activists and students with a high average score. The competition consisted of several stages for English language proficiency, such as collecting documents and interviewing. In addition, I saw an opportunity for self-realization in this competition, since the amount of the scholarship was very impressive. POSCO is a huge multimillion-dollar company that supports students from Central Asian countries. And I am proud that I was able to win a scholarship for a company of this scale. From my experience, I can say that you need to try yourself in everything and not despair if everything does not work out the first time. After all, in the end, patience and work will wear everything out!"

According to the curator and teachers, their ward's winning in the competition is not at all surprising, because Dinara has been actively involved in the life of the university since the first year and has established herself as one of the leaders not only of the course, but also of the faculty. Despite the fact that she is studying in Kazakh, Dinara speaks both Russian and English perfectly and is now studying Japanese, which was one of the conditions of the competition.

Wishing good luck to our heroine in all her endeavors, POSCO Asian fellowship not only provides scholarships, but also grants for master's and doctoral studies in the best universities of the Republic of Korea.
