SMART CITY HACKATHON Final/Department of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data

The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data organized the first SMART CITY HACKATHON at the national level for the purposes of the framework "Goal 9: Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and innovation", which took place on April 15, 2023. SMART CITY HACKATHON was initiated by inspired faculty and insightful doctoral students. SMART CITY HACKATHON lasted two days and had a prize pool of 600,000 thousand.
34 participants took part in the competition and 8 groups were formed. Participating groups: Nurik,Hard Skill,Type,Hexagon,DS-21,IOTback, Big Data Avengers,Dungeon Masters(BROgrammers).
The participants were students and undergraduates of the Taraz Regional University named after. M. Kh. Dulati and KazNU. al-Farabi. Round 1 was a presentation on the topic "Smart School" and passing the test. 2nd round creation and defense of the project on the tracks "Smart Traffic" and "Smart Energy". 6 teams passed from the 1st round. The BROgrammers and Hard Skill teams did not advance to the next round. We look forward to seeing them again next year. Group 1 decided to voluntarily withdraw from the competition. With a number of ideas “speed monitoring, smart forging, Smart energy and others”, the “Nurik” team won with the idea “speed monitoring”. We achieved the following results from the 5 teams that made it to the final:
Nurik - 1st place
IoTback - 2nd place
Hexagon - 3rd place
Big Data Avengers - 4th place
Type - 5th place
