Start of the international Erasmus+ project

The implementation of the Erasmus + CBHE Strand1 LESLIE project - "Land Management, Environment&SoLId-WastE: inside education and business in Central Asia" ("Management of land resources, environment and solid waste in education and business in Central Asia" (LESLIE)) has started.

 

The LESLIE project is aimed at developing the potential to be used by both universities of Central Asia and business structures in the field of sustainable management of land, water resources, as well as waste management.


A meeting on the future implementation of the project was held at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain. The meeting was attended by 14 organizations from 3 EU countries (Spain, Italy, the Republic of Cyprus) and 2 Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan). Teachers of the UNESCO Chair of Sustainable Development of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences, and the Department of Thermophysics and Technical Physics of the Faculty of Physics and Technology, PhD, senior lecturer G.M. Minzhanova and Deputy Head of the Department of Thermophysics and Technical Physics, Zh.K. Shortanbaev, took part in the work of this meeting.


The following tasks were discussed in detail during the meeting:
- Project coordinators have been identified;
- Characteristics of the website and the logo of the project were discussed;
- Development of an International Hub;
- The work packages and responsibilities of each participant of the project are considered in detail;
- The project implementation schedule has been approved.
Project implementation period: 3 years.
