On February 15, 2021, within the framework of the “Aynalandy Nurlandyr” project, lecturers of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology organized an online meeting with Appazova Tolkyn Bekzhanovna, an engineer-forecaster of the Aktobe branch of Kazaeronavigation, in order to increase students' interest in their major and national values, such as responsibility, hard work, life priorities. During the meeting, an employee of the organization, Tolkyn Bekzhanovna, told the students interesting information about the activities of Kazaeronavigation. She spoke about the peculiarities of her work, how to provide meteorological support for flights and what meteorological information is needed to carry out the work.

At the end of the meeting, students, undergraduates and lecturers of the department could ask questions and exchange views with a qualified specialist. Tolkyn Bekzhanovna encouraged students to work in their specialty and advised them to pay attention to such disciplines as physical meteorology, weather forecasting and aviation meteorology during their studies.

Participants liked the format of the meeting, and they expressed their hope that in the future there will be more meetings with professionals in their field.
