Career guidance work occupies an important place for schoolchildren. The main goal is to form an approach to choosing a profession by expanding the boundaries of students' self-realization and obtaining information about the world of professions and their features, as well as to learn about the university. For this purpose, a sightseeing tour of the campus was organized at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University for graduates of Zhambyl region schools. During the tour, the students were shown the building of the Rector's Office, the O.A.Zholdasbekov Palace of Students, sports complex, library, Student Service Center "Keremet", where all educational, social, medical, shopping and entertainment services for students are provided. During the tour, students were told about the achievements of the university and about the educational process. The special interest of students in the university was manifested during the ecursion. In general, career guidance was successful and brought positive results, helped many students to find answers to their questions about professional self-determination, to learn new things about the university.

The teacher of the Department of Geography, Land Management and Cadastre Zhumatayeva Zhazira Manarbekovna and the 1st year cadaster 6 group made a video dedicated to the 30th anniversary of independence!

On November 9, 2021, at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a meeting was held with a professor of the Water Research Laboratory, head of the Water for Food Center at the University of Nebraska (Lincoln. USA), PhD Daniel D. Snow.

09.11.2021, the Department of cartography and Geoinformatics hosted a mini-football tournament among students dedicated to the "30th anniversary of Independence". 8 teams of students of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th courses of the department took part in the competition. 

Meteorological support of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan plays an important role in increasing the safety, regularity and efficiency of flights. Safety of flights in meteorological relations is achieved by correct assessment of meteorological conditions, and timely delivery of necessary meteorological information to consumers. To achieve this goal, meteorological specialists must be well prepared. And in this they are helped by advanced training courses. These courses allow meteorologists to always be on the course of changes, to refresh forgotten knowledge and to acquire new ones.

On October 25, 2021, there was an online curatorial hour for 1st year students of the specialties "Life Safety and Environmental Protection" and "Ecological enginnering" of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management.

Activists of the Nevada-Semey youth organization of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University together with the International Anti-Nuclear Movement "Nevada-Semey" celebrated the day of the last explosion on Kazakh soil on October 19. During the round table, questions were considered about the explosions of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site, the results of the organization of the Nevada-Semey movement achieved over 30 years.
