Seminar was held on the topic "Modern methods in the direction of de-radicalization"

On April 27, within the framework of pedagogical practice, students of religious studies and Islamic studies met with qualified specialists in the field of deradicalization in the country. The seminar was opened by Professor Kurmanaliyeva Aynur Durbelengovna, head of the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies, Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, Al-Farabi KazNU. Then it was the turn of the guests. Timur Nusiphanuly, director of the "Academy of Action Against Religious Extremism" at the "Nur-Mubarak" University, member of RATT, read a report on the topic "Today's manifestations of the knowledge of destructive religious currents" and raised important issues. He warned that if any nation loses its culture and traditions, it will easily fall into the trap of radical groups, gave rational examples from the Abay road, and emphasized that we should pay more attention to the heritage left by our ancestors.


After that, Saltan Sayranuly, chief expert of the Academy of Action Against Religious Extremism at Nur-Mubarak University, member of RATT, journalist-theologian Saltan Sayranuly made a presentation on the topic "Activities of terrorist organizations in the media". He argued that platforms like Tiktok poison the minds of young people and make them spiritually hungry. He said that the media is a tool of radical groups and encouraged future specialists to read books and seek knowledge.

At the end of the seminar, a letter of thanks was presented to the speakers, and it was discussed that this meeting will lead to new initiatives. Timur Nusiphanuly invited the students to the "Academy of Action Against Religious Extremism" and offered to work together. The seminar was full of useful information for the students.
