In turn, Professor, Candidate of Legal Sciences Bishmanov Kakimzhan Muratzhanovich emphasized that in modern understanding the concept of “secularity” means: 1) the neutrality of the state in relation to any religion; 2) its independence from any religion, as well as the independence of religion from the state; 3) freedom of conscience and religion, freedom to study and criticize religion; 4) a public school character free from any religion / denomination.

Doctoral PhD KazNU named after Al-Farabi Bakytzhan Saparov spoke about the concept of state policy in the field of religion in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2017-2020, which was adopted in June last year. At the moment does not lose relevance in the present. He also noted that the concept reveals the current religious situation in Kazakhstani society and is also focused on the future. The concept defines the current situation in the religious sphere as more accurate, where the “problem areas” of the religious situation are identified and the main trends are identified, in particular, the future trends of state policy to strengthen the secular positions of the state and prevent the use of religion for wrong purposes.

The participants of the round table came to a common opinion about the need for religious enlightenment in society and the strengthening of moral values as opposed to the consumer worldview imposed on our people from outside.

During the meeting, those present asked their questions to specialists, and received comprehensive answers to them. Experts who took the floor stressed that the secular nature of society allows people to live side by side, despite differences in beliefs, opinions and beliefs.
