The event was attended by Professor, Ph.D. in Law and head of the public foundation of the Center for the Study of Terrorism and Extremism in RK, Bishmanov Kakimzhan Muratzhanovich, Deputy Chairman of the Turksib district branch of the Nur-Otan party, Azhibaev Nurlanbek Yeskendirovich, as well as the director of the Almaty College of Telecommunications and mechanical engineering Nugman Almasbek Nukerbayly, as well as doctoral PhD KazNU named after Al-Farabi Abdullayev Nurzhan and Tungatova Ulzhan Askarbayevna, Altaeva Nursulu and others. The organizers of this “round table” were PF “Center for the Study of Problems of Terrorism and Extremism in the Republic of Kazakhstan” and the Administration for Religious Affairs of Almaty. The event took place within the framework of the implementation of the Concept of state policy in the religious sphere for 2017-2020.

The purpose of the round table is to discuss and consolidate the concept of secularism in Kazakhstan. The secular nature of our state is an important condition for the successful development of Kazakhstan. Similar events are taking place these days in all districts of Almaty.

In turn, Professor, Ph.D. in Law and head of the public foundation of the Center for the Study of the Problems of Terrorism and Extremism in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Bishmanov Kakimzhan Muratzhanovich, stressed that there now exists a “Club of Leaders of Religious Associations” in Almaty. The purpose of which is to create a dialogue platform for discussing topical issues in the sphere of religion, strengthening mutual understanding and tolerance between various religious associations of the city. At the moment, all club members go to each other to celebrate, organize various events, sit at the same table. Such meetings demonstrate the accumulated historical experience of interfaith harmony and tolerance of a religiously and ethnically vibrant Kazakhstan. Today the club includes 40 representatives of various religious associations.

During the meeting, those present asked their questions to specialists, and received comprehensive answers to them. Experts who took the floor stressed that the secular nature of society allows people to live side by side, despite differences in beliefs, opinions and beliefs.
