In this year's annual people of Kazakhstan, the Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev says: "Our path to the future is connected with the creation of new opportunities for the people of Kazakhstan ... The developing country in the twenty-first century is the activity, education and health of citizens."

The topic of health promotion was devoted to the Round Table on the theme: "Health is our wealth", organized by the associate professor of the Chair of General and Applied Psychology N.K. Satybaldina. and we are afraid of the teacher of the department of foreign languages ​​of KazNU. al-Farabi Kaliyeva A.Zh. in the group of 1st year students, Russian department, specialty "Psychology" within the framework of the university project "Cult of a healthy body".

A number of presentations were prepared for this event by the students of the group. First of all, the definitions of the concepts "health" and "way of life" were given. There are more than 300 determinations of health. In the Charter of the World Health Organization (1948), health is defined as "a person's condition, which is characterized not only by the absence of disease or physical defects, but also by complete physical, mental and social well-being".

In giving the definition of the concept of "lifestyle", the students noted that it is related to the characteristics of everyday life of a person and covers various aspects: labor activity, forms of spending free time; participation in public life; satisfaction of material and spiritual needs; life; code of conduct.

Also in presentations, the students dwelled on the basic principles of maintaining health and leading a healthy lifestyle. Speaking about nutrition, the need to eat raw plant foods was stressed. Concerning the principle of physical activity, students emphasized that the principle of regularity is fundamental here.

If a complex does not bring pleasure, it is better to refuse it and try something else, but to practice daily.

The students also prepared interesting material on the problem of rejection of bad habits.

Speaking about tobacco smoking, aspects were also touched upon as the effect of tobacco on the body as a whole and on respiratory organs in particular; as well as its effect on the female body. When smoking, tobacco smoke penetrates into the mouth, the respiratory tract, causes irritation of the mucous membranes and damages the lungs. Tobacco use adversely affects the entire human body and can lead to the onset of cancer of the internal organs of a person, as well as to violations of cardiac activity and cerebral circulation.

In a presentation on the problem of alcoholism, it was noted that this problem is very relevant these days. Drinking leads to many problems, namely: poverty, strife, disease, loss of reputation and a weakening of mental activity. In drinking families, children turn out to be mentally underdeveloped and physically ill. Children are often born dead. In addition, alcohol shortens life on average by 17 years.

Students in the presentations pointed out that most of the alcohol products produced by non-state enterprises contain a large number of toxic substances. Students stressed that with the systematic use of alcohol develops a dangerous disease - alcoholism.

The problem of drug addiction is no less acute today. When discussing this problem, students pointed out that drug abuse and illegal trafficking in recent years in many developed countries of the world has become catastrophic. Young people and adolescents are especially vulnerable to drug addiction, who instead of studying and working, spend their lives searching for and taking drugs.

Addiction greatly shortens life, causes moral, moral and mental degradation. People who suffer from drug addiction are very often associated with the criminal world, because in trying to get money for drugs, they go for crimes.

During the round table students actively participated in the discussion, expressed their opinion.

Summarizing the results of the event, the teachers - associate professor Satybaldina N.K. and senior teacher Kaliyeva A.Zh. , as well as students spoke out for a healthy lifestyle and pointed out that there are many ways to maintain health for years to come. All people and young people in particular need to be able to appreciate their lives.
